Laura (and Lorelei and Cletus and OMC and Franko et al) I wish you health, happiness, fun, freedom from anxiety, love and laughter on this the first day of 2007!
We were invited to a friends, but I had earache and a sore throat, so my husband and my daughter went but came back at 11:30 and we opened champagne and watched a traditional music show called Jools Hollands Hootenanny...great set from Paul Weller and Amy Winehouse. We were also in bed by 1.....yet it only seems like yesterday that I was a young girl kissing the policeman outside #10 (Downing Street...Prime Ministers) and carousing around Trafalgar Square till daylight...time FLIES SO FAST.
Deirdre is a dirty birdie! I LOVE IT!! Please, pleasepleaaaase tell more of your stories! Laura and I can split em (since yer too much of a poop to start ye a blog). I would pay gladly to see a picture of you as a youngish tart, giving a bobby the peck.
I'm such an american doof. I'm sure my slang sucks.
And thank you for your kind wishes. I'm working on that health thing. 'Tis been the subject of much conversation and writing and soul searching and doctor-visiting and such in recent days/weeks...realizing some things I never realized before about myself...
anyway. yes. lets all get/stay healthy this year, k?

How did you ring in the new year?
We stayed in, played with toys, ate pizza, watched 'South Park', drank sparkling blueberry juice (the best!!), and took lots of photos.
Lorelei called and chicken-bawked us 'Auld Lang Syne' around 12:30. We, in turn, played her our Chia Pet alarm song.
I was in bed by 1.
