I didn't think I would have anything to say about the pictures until I got to the last one.

The old man blowing a kiss to the blond girl is sorta creepy because it makes me think of what I'll probably be like in another 40 years or so.

Heehee, old man. At least you got THAT to look forward to...

Balls, Effie! I wanted ta go to the opening! Crap. Oh, well. You'll be telling me about it, right?

I'll be telling you. Not much to tell. 'Cept they had candy jewelry on the food table--I grabbed a coupla ring pops and a Smarties necklace--I'll share.

The old man is Willard. Willard is just about the greatest old man I've ever known. He used to be the metals teacher at the college before Kathy (the girl he's smootching at in the pic.)and now he makes crazy found-object sculpture. He used to give me and the kid all sorts of crap to make pieces out of.

heh heh OMC...I bet you're already like that now...(p.s. It'll be in 50 years--Willard is 80--and as I recall your OLD self clocks in at 30).

Where does Kathy live? I am thinking to take her out of the equation of the watchwork necklace.

Shit. Did I write that out loud?

Yes you did, darlin'. And I will NOT be a party to a jewelry-related hit, no matter HOW COOL the coveted piece is.

p.s. It's called a 'watchcock' necklace...which should make you want to own it all the more. But for the time being it's still MINE, MINE, MINE...
