Wow, I was going to school in NYC in 1981. I could of been around the corner in a "chock full of nuts" diner reading a the NY times eating a scone.. .maybe. Who knows.
Actually I was going to technical school for U.S.Coast Guard. I was on Governors island and took the ferry into Manhattan during the evenings to run wild.
I'm sorry about your drawing. Unfortunately, in the art world sometimes theft is the sincerest form of flattery.
At least you know that it's probably out there. It's probably on a wall somewhere where somebody looks at it everyday and wonders how it came about.
It is a good image. "wonderment" or "Horizons" or maybe "The road less traveled" or simply "shit, weren't we here before?"

Where did you go to school?
I was actually on a high school trip to the east coast when I took this pic.
I later did a drawing of it that won a top national art award. The drawing disappeared after being shown in New York. I never saw it again.
